
Come and join us for the 2004 Sloan Foundation Conference for Minority Ph.D., and Feeder
Programs be held at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro,
North Carolina November 3 - 5, 2004. The conference, sponsored by Alfred P. Sloan Foundation,
is being hosted by North Carolina A&T State University.
The main objective of the conference will be to review the mission of the Sloan Foundation in its support of underrepresented minority Ph.D.s in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics (STEM) fields. Participants from both Sloan-funded universities and other support organizations will discuss issues, alternatives, and strategies available to increase the participation of underrepresented minorities in graduate programs.
Participants will also have the opportunity to network and collaborate with Sloan grantees, NACME, and other diversity focused alliances. In addition, representatives from NSF,
NIH, AAAS and GEM will be invited to
engage and share information at the conference.
